Ensure all materials, including trays, ladders, and fittings, are inspected for damage and compliance with project specifications .

Cable Tray Selection and Layout

  • Tray Type: Ladder-type trays are preferred for charging piles due to their ventilation and ease of cable support . Solid or ventilated trays can be used for sensitive control cables to reduce electromagnetic interference .
  • Tray Size: Calculate the required tray area based on cable cross-sectional area and ensure cable fill does not exceed 40% of tray capacity to prevent overheating .
  • Segregation: Separate power cables from control or communication cables to minimize interference and comply with NEC/IEC standards .
